The occupation of Electrical Fitter involves the installation, commissioning, inspection, testing and fault diagnosis of electrical plant and its associated cabling and equipment. Commonly this involves types of equipment such as electrical distribution systems, generators, electric motors, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
Engineering construction projects involve the installation of specialised small-bore tubing which carries gas, water and other process fluids. Instrument Pipefitters must produce, test and inspect small bore tubing arrangements from isometric drawings for control panel systems and ancillary equipment used in the Engineering Construction Industry.
